His work in the field of music as Dj Ilya Shved began in 2003. Seriously doing breakdancing, he was reaching to everything new, as well as to everything that is connected with music. So Ilya gets to the championship, which brings him an acquaintance with Dj Prosh, who later became his teacher. He also introduced Shved to Dj Dlee, who also became his mentor in the musical field. Already in 2006, Ilya headed one of the most fashionable metropolitan radio stations Next. It was evening show called "Chill ou". The programme gathered the most popular people, and within four weeks was in prime time. This gave Shved not only new acquaintances with celebrities, but also the possibility of cooperation with them. So, afterwards he works with Pavel Volya, L'one and Timati.
No less successful for Ilya was 2007, during which he became a resident of such clubs as "Black October", "Infiniti" and "Zhara", which were at the peak of their popularity at that time. He is also one of the most touring Dj. The audience appreciated the power and energy of his sets, which were easily to listen to and brought real pleasure.
Next is his joint work with Garik Martirosyan, Keti Topuria and rapper St, which will lead to the creation of such hits as "Barvikha" and "Vse budet ofigenno". In the same year he enters the famous group "Centr", where he works with the famous Guf, Ptakha and Slim. Here he is engaged in the creation of songs, merges into active media and tour activities.
Recognized, not only by the audience, but also by the prestigious MTV Award Prize, the group becomes "cult". Their works take a leading position in popularity, filling the Internet space and TV.
After the breakup of the group, Ilya begins to cooperate with Loc Dog, without losing his popularity. In 2013, being in the band The Cats, he signs a contract with Sullen Musik, which includes such world-famous bands as Korn and Cypress hill.
Jury was born in St. Petersburg, and from the age of six he studied at the music school for piano, located at the School named after Mussorgsky. Two years later he began to perform at various piano competitions for children and when the family, in 1998, moved to Saratov, he did not abandon the class. So he entered a musical school for the classical piano department, later changing it to a variety. There he was able to find that sense of freedom that was lacking in the classical department.
Between 1999 and 2001, Shevalin was part of the Artland group created by the students. In addition to the fact that the group during its existence has visited a variety of international jazz festivals, where he won prizes, Jury also received invaluable experience, which served to form the taste and master the basics of arranging.
Together with jazz activities, Shevalin learns the basics of composition in the courses at the Saratov State Conservatory, which were conducted by the Union of Composers. This allowed not losing the final connection with classical music. Also, this not only did not hinder development in jazz, but it also intertwined with him in some way. So, the classics and jazz began to complement each other.
For professional growth, Shevalin began working with former member of the group "Cheerful Guys" Anatoly Aleshin. This contributed to the release of several singles, and without stopping the composer's activity.
In 2005, the recording of music together with guitarist and sound engineer Alexander Perfiliev for the play "The Infernal Jourdain" directed by M.P. Borisov, which was in the Moscow Theater “Tabakerka”. This order was received directly from Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov, in honor of the jubilee of the theater, to which the play was staged. The work was difficult, but at the same time exciting with its combination of baroque musical style with modern rhythms, as well as with a sense of humor. But the play, at the stage of the finished music, costumes and scenery, was frozen, because of what did not see the light.
From 2008 to 2011 Shevalin worked as a musician and arranger in the producer center of A. Kovalev. As a result, albums were recorded and produced in such styles as hard rock, metal, rock, pop rock, and also industrial. In 2010 Jury collaborated with Children's Radio to work on the audio-performance "Egorka and Zmey Dobrynych."
2011 was marked by the beginning of joint activities with Ilya Shved. This was how the music for the film "Stone" by V. Kaminsky was written, together with Perfiliev, who was mixing, and who had experience in such films as "Black Lightning", "Particularly Dangerous", etc.
Since for Shevalin and Shved this film was the first, there was a special attitude to it. For the musician it was a difficult and interesting experience, and, as he says himself, for the first time it was successful, even with the desire to introduce some amendments. The film itself is quite a labor-intensive process, as well as music, which also required the composition, recording, mixing, re-mixing to display the movie in theaters, mixing for digital release and mastering.
Such work required maximum control over all stages, as Shevalin said. And plus to everything, assumes the presence of his professional team with specialists in the field of producing, recording and mixing. Last years, namely from 2014 to 2017, Jury Shevalin cooperates with Nargiz in the producer center of Max Fadeev as an arranger. Joint work is continuing till the moment.
